Q. Is Venice Safe?
A. Venice Beach is a beautiful urban beach community. it has a a very diverse population with a lot of homeless people living just outside multi-million dollar properties. Every type of person, ethnicity and income level is represented here, including many single women, young hipsters, families with kids and many retirees. If you are coming from another urban environment you will be fine, if you are coming from a more rural, small-town area you may feel a little intimidated. Like in any city, put on your urban face of confidence and you will be fine. Do not feel obligated to respond to panhandlers.
NOTE: In February of 2012 the LAPD started enforcement of the closing of Ocean Front Walk and the Beach from 12.00 midnight to 5.00 am; they are all part of the park system. This has significantly reduced the night time homeless population as they have been forced to move to other locales.
Q. Is parking included?
A. No, we can refer you to a paid lot or provide you with a map that shows free parking.
Q. How close are you to the beach?
A. Venice Breeze Suites is located on the Beach and Boardwalk. We have great ocean views from most of our units and the roof deck has panoramic ocean and beach views. You can see all the action on the Boardwalk below.
Q. Will there be someone there to check me in if I arrive early in the morning or late at night?
A. Arriving any time is no problem. We email everyone a lock box combination along with the code to get in the front door. The lock boxes and keys are located inside near the elevator.
Q. What time can I check in?
A. Check in time is 3pm.
Q. What time is check out?
A. Your check out time is noon. It is essential that you observe this check out time as another guest may have rented the room from 3pm. In most cases we can not do a late check out.
Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A.We have a strict 3 day from arrival cancellation policy. Cancellations made outside the 3 days from arrival will receive a deposit refund. Cancellations within 3 days of arrival will result in a forfeiture of the first night deposit.
All cancellations made with 10 days advance notice will receive their full refund of the one night deposit taken at the time of your reservation.
Q. Do you allow pets?
A. No pets are allowed. If you are caught with a pet you will be charged an additional $250 damage fee.
Q. Do you have a minimum stay?
A. We only require a 2 night minimum stay on Holiday Weekends.
Q. Do you allow smoking?
A. The rooms are non-smoking rooms, but we do allow smokng on the roof terrace. If your room smells of smoke at check out you will be charged a damage fee of $250.
Q. Do all the units have kitchens?
A. Yes, at Venice Breeze Suites we provide fully fitted kitchens. They have modern 2 burner stoves, microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine, pots, plates, glassware, and silverware, etc.
Q. What size beds are in the rooms?
A. Most of our beds are Queen sized. We do not have any King size beds. Our efficiency one bedroom units have full beds, ocean front and large partial ocean view units have couches that convert into double beds.
Q. Do you have twin rooms?
A. No sorry.
Q. Is there an additional fee if 2 or more people stay in a room?
A. No. The room rate is fixed. If you need a roll away bed there is an aditional charge of $25 per night. Roll aways are not guarenteed.
Q. How many people can stay in each room?
A. We allow a maximum of 2 people, unless you are booked into a unit with the sleeper sofa and the max becomes 4 or a twin sleeper chare the max is 3.
Q. Is there a restaurant on site or is breakfast included in the price?
A. No. We do not have a restaurant or room service. This is a converted apartment complex offering self service, fully furnished apartments. We are not a full service hotel. However, there are scores of great restaurants within walking distance, many of whom offer free delivery. You can also save money by cooking in your own kitchen.
Q. Is there a swimming pool?
A. No we do not have a swimming pool, but we are only steps away from the worlds largest body of water, the Pacific Ocean.
Q. If I bring a bike or surfboard is there secure storage, or do I have to keep it in my unit?
A. No, We do not have secure bicycle and surfboard storage.
Q. Is there a gym on site?
A. No, we do not have a gym or a pool. However, tenants who stay for 1 month or more get discounted rates at nearby world famous Gold's Gym.
Q. Do you have AC (air conditioning)?
A. Yes, here at Venice Breeze Suites we offer heat and A/C units in all the units. We are one of the few on the Venice boardwalk to have AC.
Q. Is maid service daily?
A. Maid service is weekly. Additional visits may be arranged for $45/ visit or clean towles for $30.
Q. Is there a cleaning fee?
A. There are no additional cleaning fees.
Q. Are there any additional fees?
A. No. Unlike a Hotel we do not charge extra for high speed internet access, or the movie channel. There are no additional fees.
Q. Do you have floor plans?
A. Yes we do, please refer to our website www.venicebreezesuites.com click on tour and pagethere you will see updated pictures and floor plans of the units.
Q. What is the best way to get there from the airport?
A. You can hail a cab at the airport. It will cost $25 - $35 and take 20 mins – 40 mins depending on traffic. You could also get the Pacific Coast Shuttle Bus for approx $17 per person. Officials outside arrivals will direct you to the correct terminal. For regular bus information call 1-800-COMMUTE for a live operator who will give you bus information for all of Los Angeles.
Q. What do I have to do to check out?
A. Simply leave your keys in the unit and close the door behind you. We will take care of the rest. We hope you enjoy your stay!
